In the Spring of 1829, the Reverend Cumberland Wilson commenced his labors. The following Spring, the Reverend Samuel M. Cowan held a meeting at which time the church was organized.
Land for the building in 1834. The construction date of the first building is not known- however, it burned sometime between 1860 and 1869. A new church to be built on the same grounds was planned in 1869. This is the building still being used. It is located at Belleville, Tennessee, which was originally known as Norris Creek.
Mt. Hebron is currently located at: 923 Shelbyville Highway in Fayetteville, Tennessee. -provided by Hilda Anderson.
